Who we are…
The Rolling Greens Homeowners Association is an important part of your community. It is governed by a set of By-Laws that must also follow the regulations of Florida Statute 723. The Board of Directors meets once a month. The members of the Association meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the North Clubhouse; no meetings are held in June, July, or August. Notices of both Board and Association meetings are posted in each clubhouse, are listed in the monthly Rolling Greens News, are on T.V. Channel 998, and above all, are always on our website – www.rghoa.net.
New officers are elected each December, according to the By-Laws. Only one paid member per household may vote in this important election. From time to time, there may be need for a special vote on an issue and this will be held at the monthly Association meeting. Only members with a current membership card may vote. You can join the Association by paying $15 per household to your Area Director or any Board member. You may also join at any regular meeting of the Association before 7:00 PM or following the meeting. A listing of your current Board members is on our website – rghoa.net – and in the front of your Rolling Greens Phone Directory, as well as in the monthly Rolling Greens News.
The Rolling Greens Homeowners Association is an important part of our community. The President, Officers, and Area Directors are, of course, residents. They work closely with Management to resolve any problems that may arise between residents and the Park Owner. Many successful negotiations have been resolved to the satisfaction of both residents and the Park Owner. It is important for you to be represented by becoming a member of your Homeowners Association. When you are a member, you are entitled to vote in the election of officers, vote on important matters, and vote on By-Laws. Monthly business meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, September through May. These informative meetings are followed by a social hour and a 50/50 drawing.
The Association also sponsors special events and programs during the year – all of which will be displayed on our website – rghoa.net. The Association compiles the Phone Directory and distributes it to all residents and maintains a resident database. Clubhouse decorations, purchase of a refrigerator and vacuum for the North Clubhouse, establishment of a Benevolent Fund, gaining a new Library and a Fitness Center, and setting up an Association office with a computer are only a few of the recent Association accomplishments. By joining, you will become an active part of the community you have chosen as your home. Membership means that you are represented in all ways. Dues are only $15.00 per household per year and may be paid to your Area Director or any Board member. All money received goes into a bank account and is used for the good of the community. The funds derived from dues pay for the refreshments for the social hour, as well as other activities.
Once again, we welcome you as a new neighbor and we hope to get to know you and we want you to get to know us. Enjoy using this website and don’t hesitate to call on any of us if you need assistance. We look forward to seeing you at the monthly meetings and other functions.
Tucked into north central Florida in a region known as “horse country,” Ocala offers visitors winding community pathways lined with oak trees and dangling trellises of Spanish moss, and the opportunity to explore miles of untainted nature. If the prospect of canoeing down a crystal clear stream amid the largest sand pine forest in the world sounds appealing, Ocala and surrounding Marion County are more than worth your time. The region’s freshwater streams, rolling hills and clean air remain unspoiled and have been used for Hollywood movies. Nearby is Silver Springs, a national landmark and nature theme park on 350 acres. Silver Springs is Florida’s “original attraction”.
